The Byzantine church of Agios Georgios / Agios Nikolaos is in the village of Anidri with well-preserved frescoes of good quality by Ioannis Pagomenos inscribed with the date 1323 (See Maza). On the wall there is a list of the donors of the church. The church has two aisles separated with arches in between, and it also has a transverse aisle, thus forming crosses externally. The church is on the southern edge of the village overlooking the coast of Crete.
